Brennan Cregan is a Denver, Colorado based filmmaker with a BFA in Film & Television from University of Colorado Denver. He's dabbled in everything from directing to sound, but his true passion lies in writing and producing films and series. That being said, he loves to be on set or working in post in any situation, and is always looking for opportunities to work on films.
His experience at CU Denver has led to a plethora of experiences working on and producing independent short film and web series productions. This includes his Junior Thesis "The Hit That Hit Back" (Writer, Director, Producer), Senior Thesis "Mixer Through The Roof" (Writer, Producer, Sound Design), and personal series "Student Film" (Co-Writer, Producer, Sound).
Brennan works professionally both in the local Denver film scene as well as out of state. He's worked for TBS, TLC, The Famous Group, RELIGHT, VICE, and more. This includes experience Field Coordinating for the TLC show "90 Day Fiance". He's always excited to get more experience and continue refining his craft.

Festival Submission
Directed by Brennan Cregan, Produced by Haley Bradley, Shot by Cameron Smith, and viewed by you, the viewer. The early cut of Cregan Film's Junior Thesis was filmed through UCD and shown at Cinefest, where it won 5 awards out of the 6 it was nominated for. 3 and a half years after finishing principal photography, the film has finally been completed and is seeing a festival run across the country! Check back for more updates coming soon.
Post-Production
While not directed by Brennan, it was written, produced, and partially edited by him! Made as an ambitious series of long takes strung with short little musical numbers, "Mixer" was written as Brennan's love letter to film school (eventually being rewritten to tie into the ZB Productions LLC. series "Student Film"). While the film is still being worked on, see the cut submitted for his senior thesis final here!
A short silent film, this time made almost entirely by Brennan, with some minor help from family to run camera during the slider shots. Made as part of a cinematography class, but shows off some fun dedication to a solo-project in the midst of Covid isolation.

Distribution
Directed by ZB Production's own Jonny Horton, "The Ballad of Thatch Thorton" is an epic sci-fi western crossover, inspired by the likes of "Cowboy Bebop". Brennan ran location sound for a number of shoot days, and was responsible for producing the sound mix and VFX for the film!
"What a shame. What a shame."
Directed by Christopher Gonzales of Carpool Tonal, this long-take filled musical film took Best Score at UCD Cinefest and rightfully so. The film was even featured at Sundance in the student category! Brennan was brought on board as 2nd AD on the one and only shoot day for the film.
"You've gotta really smack 'em, huh?"
Directed by Will Cohn and shot by Sean Wada, "Green Glass Blues" is a WLW love letter to classic noir crime films. The film went on to win a number of awards at that year's UCD Cinefest, including Best Cinematography. Brennan played a crucial role on the project as 1st AD and Associate Producer.
Student Film | Produced by Brennan Cregan, directed by Jonny Horton, and written by both, "Student Film" is a web series about a chaotic group of film students learning to work together, incompatibility and all. However, it seems like there's some pretty absurd things that try to get in their way... After years in production, the series is slated to be complete by Fall 2025!
